Home School Legal Defense Association
Home School Legal Defense Association is a nonprofit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the upbringing and education of their children and to protect family freedoms. We provide homeschooling-related legal advice and representation to our over 80,000 member families, promote homeschool-friendly legislation at the state and federal levels, and offer information and resources to encourage and support all homeschoolers.

Maryland Association Christian Home Educators
MACHE exists to support the Christian home schooling families and support group leaders in the state of Maryland . We provide a quarterly newsletter to member families and groups, offer a discount for membership in the Home School Legal Defense Association , and we host an annual curriculum fair, symposiums, workshops, and other events.
MACHE also coordinates with the Maryland State Department of Education , giving input and advice to them on issues that relate to home schooling in the state of Maryland. We also monitor the Maryland state legislature to ensure that our freedoms to teach at home are not compromised. Our board of directors works diligently to make sure that home schooling in Maryland continues to be a positive experience. You will receive a MACHE card with your Umoja membership.

Conowingo Rising Sun Christian School (Umbrella Program)
Conowingo Rising Sun Christian School is a homeschool umbrella program operated by the Rising Sun Church of God of Prophecy Inc. located in Rising Sun, Maryland. We are an entity registered to supervise home instruction in the state of Maryland. "CRSCS is a non-accredited umbrella school under COMAR 13A.10.01.05."
This umbrella program is a very well known program and most of our members have used them.

Maryland Science Center Homeschool Program
Each year the Maryland Science Center offers their home school program which includes Enrichment Experiences, IMAX films, Planetarium programs, Learning Lab programming and more are taking place during these exciting home school weeks. Plus, basic admission to their exhibit halls is free for all residents of Maryland participating in these programs!

National Aquarium Homeschool Program
A visit to the Aquarium is your students' passport to discovering the world's aquatic treasures! Their programs are specifically designed for homeschoolers.

Many of our families are veterans with alot of homeschool experience under their belt. We enjoy sharing and passing on our wealth of information onto the new homeschool families. We also give opportunities for our novice homeschool families to share their knowledge, gifts, and talents with our homeschool community. So stay encouraged and connected!
